Abstract PDF: Purpose
Body size phenotypes can be regarded as an indicator of cardiovascular incidence risk factors. The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of metabolic syndrome among metabolically healthy adults according to body size phenotype using Korean Genome & Epidemiology Study [KoGES]-community based cohort from 2001-2002 to 2014.
Methods
A prospective population-based cohort including 5,068 adults aged 40-69 years free from metabolic syndrome was included and divided into three phenotypes: metabolically healthy normal weight (MHNW), metabolically healthy overweight (MHOW), and metabolically healthy obesity (MHO). The time dependent Cox’s proportional hazards regression model was used to estimate the incidence of the metabolic syndrome after a follow-up 14 years.
Results
In the demographic, health related variables-adjusted model (Model 3), the hazard ratio of the metabolic syndrome was 1.92 (CI 1.54-2.40) for MHOW, 2.88 (CI 2.32-3.58) for MHO among males, 1.89 (CI 1.51-2.37) for MHOW, 2.34 (CI 1.88-2.90) for MHO for females compared to MHNW, respectively.
Conclusion
In conclusion, MHOW and MHO in both males and females increased the risk of metabolic syndrome compared to MHNW. Obesity management should be considered even in the absence of metabolic syndrome. Programs and resources should be provided for prevention of cardiovascular diseases and better quality of life.

PURPOSE
This study aims to investigate the effects of atopic dermatitis on suicidal ideation, plans and attempts in young adult.
METHODS
Data are from the Sixth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VI,2013, 2015) in a sample of 2,983 respondents aged 19 to 39 years. Data were analyzed using Frequency, Percentage, Ï‡2 test, Complex sample multivariate binary logistic regression analysis with SPSS version 18.0 software.
RESULTS
Firstly, factors affecting suicidal ideation are gender, education level, smoking, self-reported health status, asthma, depression and stress perception. Factors affecting suicidal plan are education level, self-reported health status, asthma and depression. Lastly, factors affecting suicidal attempt are gender, education level, smoking, self-reported health status, depression and stress perception. Compared to non-atopic group, the prevalence of suicidal ideation and plan of atopic group increased from odds ratio 2.14 to 2.48 and 1.90 to 2.50, respectively. Odds ratio for suicidal attempt was odds ratio 2.69 (10% error level).
CONCLUSION
The results show that atopic dermatitis in young adult affects suicidal ideation, plans and attempts. Therefore, it is necessary to identify atopic patients who have suicidal thoughts and plans and develop an intervention program to prevent and manage suicide in young adult.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to analyze the intervention studies for married immigrant women.
METHODS
Based on inclusion criteria, 45 articles published from 2006 to 2011 were reviewed and analyzed.
RESULTS
Among the total amount of studies, 77.8% have been conducted since 2009; and 46.7% of them were for a master's thesis, 11.1% were for a doctoral thesis, and 42.2% were journal articles. Most of them were quantitative research (77.8%) and 71.1% were conducted in urban areas. The most frequently conducted intervention was art therapy (35.6%), whereas 6.7% was health education. In total, 104 outcome indicators were used with 57 (54.8%) in the mental health domain, 29 (27.9%) in the social health domain, and 18 (17.3%) in the physical health domain. The most commonly used outcome indicator was self-esteem (23.2%), and the next, in the order of frequency, included self-efficacy (23.2%), acculturative stress (21.4%), and depression (10.7%).
CONCLUSION
Most intervention studies were conducted to support the sociocultural adaptation of married immigrant women, while few intervention studies were conducted to support the health of married immigrant women. To promote the health and quality of life of married immigrant women, many health related intervention programs should be undertaken.
